Body spray/Linen Spray/ Room Spray Recipe

This recipe is suited for those who dont want to use an alcohol based spray. It is well affordable and goes a very long way. By adding different essential oils for specific purposes e,g, tea tree oil you can make it a natural anti bacterial spray for kitchen counter tops or a topical treatment spray for sunburn. Or just as a nice household room spray with fresh fragrant aromas. This recipe might have a milky look when made with some fragrances or essential oils. If you want a very clear appearance you will have to change the formulation completely by using perfume base compound which contains alcohol. Personally, I prefer using this recipe because it is cost effective and does not contain alcohol. If the milky look bothers you, rather decant the mixture into frosted looking bottles.

You will need bottles with mist spray pumps.

 1000 ml water (room temperature)
20 ml fragrance oil or essential oil
 100 ml Polysorbate 20

1

In a two litre bottle Combine the fragrance oil and the polysorbate 20 together. Shake well. Add 1000ml water to the solution and shake well. Decant into mist spray bottles.

Tip: For an insect repellant spray use citronella oil.
